Striking a Pose in Kindergarten

Kindergartners have been studying Keith Haring's artwork and learning how to draw the human body in different poses. They began by pairing up and taking turns posing and sketching. They then picked their favorite pose and blew that up and added bold colors, similar to Keith Haring's. They chose whether or not to use expressive lines with their artwork to show either motion or emotion. It was so much fun watching them work. Make sure to view the "posing" photos that follow the artwork. This exercise would be a fun rainy day activity this summer!
