Art Club: Painting on Canvas

The last art club session of the year has wrapped up with first and second grade students painting a "favorite thing" on canvas. They painted from the background to the foreground, mixed their colors, and kept an eye out for details and texture. Animals, macaroons, the Empire State Building, a globe, and a sunset...all painted with skill and lots of joy. And to our parent volunteers, Mrs. Bost, Mrs. Boyd-Young, Mrs. Kiec, and Mrs. Romero thank you, thank you, thank you! You were absolutely amazing and we couldn't have done it without you!

The second session of art club (grades 3 and 4) has sadly come to a close but not before they finished weaving some impressive pouches/purses. Many, many thanks to Mrs. Wilson for volunteering her time, talent, and amazing cooking skills!

Ayla wove the only drawstring bag...it turned out great!
