Agamographs

Before starting their latest project, sixth graders looked at the art of Yaacov Agam, one of the founders of the kinetic art movement. Agam's obedience to the Orthodox Jewish interpretation of the Second Commandment, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image," is the cornerstone of his ever changing abstract art. Sixth graders created "agamographs," artwork that changes when viewed from different angles. The best way to see them is in person and they are all currently on display in Cathedral's halls. You can also view them HERE.
