The last couple of weeks, second graders have been studying color value and with their knowledge created monochromatic collages. To start, they were given white, black and color paint and had to paint a value scale using tinting and shading. On day two, they cut up a portion of their painting to create a scene, abstract or representational, of their choosing...great work second grade!
