Delightful Designs

Third graders finished their Mexican Amate paintings this week and they are beautiful! They used bright colors on brown paper to recreate the look of the traditional paintings made on handmade tree bark paper. Their stylized birds and mammals are right at home in their lush surroundings. I'm especially proud of the students for keeping their paint colors so pure which was key for an authentic look - excellent technique everybody! I think we have some master artists here in third!
