Metalwork?

Fifth graders completed their repoussé projects this week with some pretty convincing pieces. Repoussé is a metalworking technique where the metal is gently hammered from the back towards the front. Chasing is then used to engrave details from the front towards the back. Fifth grade used cardboard, glue, tin foil and pencils to achieve a similar look. (The dark shadow in the lower half of the pictures is my reflection, which was inescapable!)
