Bubbles Galore

First graders had a wonderful time drawing bubbles on Monday. First we talked about the difference between a circle and a sphere and how they could create the illusion of a sphere on their paper. Then we looked at pictures of bubbles and talked about their characteristics and bubbles were blown for direct observation. They traced circles and then added white and primary and secondary color reflections along the contours of the bubbles. We also saved five minutes at the end of class to watch a spectacular bubble video. It was such a hit, here's the link in case anyone would like to watch it again-which they all did!
