Snowmen

After discussing the effects of light on objects, fourth graders were then challenged to create snowmen that showed highlights from a light source and the resulting shadows. Chalk pastels are a tricky medium but they did a wonderful job keeping smudges to a minimum and creating the illusion that these snowmen have spherical form.
