Self Portraits with a Twist

After learning about the Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani, 5th graders began drawing their own self-portrait in his elongated style. They were also challenged to consider complementary colors in their designs to make their portraits stand out. A couple of years ago, a Modigliani painting sold at auction for over $170,000,000 -- but these creations are priceless!
