Unity, Variety...can we create Balance?

Eighth graders used the first half of their last class to identify unity, variety and balance in famous artwork and then played a group game that had them adding self-created elements to a canvas with the hopes of obtaining balance. Laura, who had the closest birthday, started it off with a red element which became the point of emphasis. After its completion, the class was divided as to whether or not it looked balanced. Either way, it looks great...nice teamwork eighth!
