Before starting their latest project, sixth graders looked at the art of Yaacov Agam, one of the founders of kinetic and optical art. An orthodox Jew, Agam's obedience of the Second Commandment,
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image," is the cornerstone for his ever changing abstract art. Sixth graders created "agamographs," artwork that changes when viewed from different angles. This was an extremely detailed project which had students creating two pieces of artwork and then, gulp, cutting them up. They pulled it off with amazing results!
