Self-Portraits with a Twist

Fifth graders have been busy learning about the Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani, and this week they completed their self-portraits in his elongated style. They were also challenged to consider complementary colors in their designs to make their portraits stand out. It's worth noting that last November a Modigliani painting sold at auction for over $170,000,000 -- but of course these creations are priceless!
