Mexican Amate

Third graders finished their Mexican Amate paintings this week. They used bright colors on brown paper to recreate the look of the traditional paintings made on handmade tree bark paper. I'm especially proud of the students for keeping their paint colors so pure which was key for an authentic look - excellent technique everybody!
