This is Me

After looking at self-portraits by famous artists including Durer, Rembrant, Picasso, Kahlo and Van Gogh, first graders began working on their own. They used mirrors to study themselves and identify where their facial features are situated in relation to each other. The finishing touch was passing them to each other and writing adjectives about one another. It's so dear to read all of the kind things they have to say about their classmates. These are wonderful first grade...a great demonstration of artistry and friendship!!
