Monkeys Everywhere

After discussing and viewing Chinese scrolls, first graders celebrated the Chinese New Year by making their own Monkey scrolls (the 2016 animal). After finishing their monkeys, Mrs. Heinske led the students in writing, with ink and brushes, the word monkey in Chinese. They did so well!
