Sixth through eighth grades had an extended art class on Monday so they could spend more time with visiting artist Allen Montague. Allen, a full time artist here in Raleigh, engaged the students with painting an underwater scene that, when viewed through 3D glasses, appears to include depth in their otherwise 2D designs. It was a fun mix of science and art and now that they are dry, I know the students will look forward to having them returned next week along with their new eyewear!
