Drawing the human figure can be rather daunting, so in our last lesson sixth graders were taught an easy gesture drawing formula to help. In no time, everyone was able to capture any pose our volunteer student models could strike, and they struck some doozies! By the end of class they realized the technique can also be applied to animals and that once you put down the basic form, building it up with clothing, fur, etc. comes much easier. The last 10 minutes of class was a speed challenge with freeze-frames from the classic OKGO on treadmills video. Impressive results sixth grade!
