Making a Splash!

Sixth grade practiced watercolor techniques and while studying watercolor paintings, discussed the art principals of unity and balance. They then began their latest project: Creating a watercolor of a butterfly or beetle. Some of the techniques used include resist, salt, sandpaper with colored pencil, dripping, and splatter. I'm thrilled with their results - this is a very challenging medium!
