Great Dogs

Seventh graders studied and evaluated the art principles of movement and rhythm and also looked at George Rodrigue, an American artist well known for his Blue Dog series. Their goal was to paint a dog scene that showed a sense of movement and/or rhythm. I love their creativity...parachuting, a magic carpet ride, orbiting earth, etc...these are a lot of fun, show great movement, and have wonderful color contrast too! The last few photos are of this week's class, signing their dried paintings and having some fun working with modeling clay.
