Beautiful Bird Nests

Last week second graders completed their bird nests with amazing results. This project focused on texture and they used many different techniques to add both implied and real texture to their pieces. Building the actual nests was a hoot, with raffia grass, sticks, yarn and more...combine that with lots of glue and little hands and you've got quite a show. I think all of the students came out with a new respect for our talented feathered friends!
